The Match

It’s rare that a team doesn’t see the FA Cup final as their most exciting in their lifetime, let alone in the same season. This FA Cup was part of Manchester United’s famous treble winning season of 199 where they won the Premier League, The FA Cup and The European Cup. Roy Keane was injured inside 8 minutes and replaced by Teddy Sheringham who scored within 90 seconds of coming on to give Manchester United the lead. Paul Scholes grabbed a second for United early in the second half and the red half of Manchester ran out comfortable winners in what could be seen as a forgettable final on its own, but historical in the context of those 10 days in 1999.
