The Match
The 100th FA Cup final featured Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City. After a 1-1 draw after extra time, a replay was scheduled 5 days later, as opposed to settling the match on penalties as it is nowadays. This was the first FA Cup final replay since 1970. Argentine powerhouse Ricky Villa put Spurs in front after 8 minutes but City equalized through Steve MacKenzie soon after. City then took the lead through Reeves proving the replay to be one of the more entertaining cup finals in recent years. Garth Crooks pulled Spurs level 20 minutes from time and then a moment of magic from Villa saw him glide past 4 City defenders to beat Joe Corrigan in the goal. A goal worthy to win any cup final and voted Wembley Goal of the Century in 2001.
Tottenham lifted the trophy for the 6th time in the clubs history.

BS Johnson was one the first experimental writers in English Literature. A novelist, critic, poet, screenwriter and producer, Johnson worked across the entire spectrum of literature and media. Interestingly, his novel The Unfortunates, was published in a box without being bound, meaning the reader could assemble the novel in whichever order they wanted, albeit from the First and Last Chapters. This kind of writing has relatively ceased in recent years but is a genre Johnson brought to the forefront of literature in Britain during his career.
